Hi folks! Oh, I do love my job: Elementary School Teacher. But I CAN'T WAIT=
 'TIL SUMMER!! I'll be on the trail from Agua D to Tuolumne! Anyhow, being =
the solo hiker that I am- I love my Mini-disk player. I've got a Sony MZ-R7=
00, and if I load it with a single Lithium AA, it will play for weeks! I ca=
n record almost 3 albums on a single disk at the "Medium" 2x quality settin=
g=2E I only use the 4x when I'm recording books on tape (what a great featu=
re for the trail!). I use "earbud" style Etymotic ER6 headphones (double as=
 earplugs when the mozzys are about). You can't beat the small size and wei=
ght of a mini-disk player. I can carry 5 disks of 15 whole albums for just =
a couple of ounces! Also, a pack of infinitely re-recordable blank mini-dis=
ks is a fraction of the price you'd pay for MP3 flash memory cards. Hope to=
 see some of you fellow section-hikers on the trail!
