Dan,
For the average hiker, to get to our place in Agua Dulce approximately a mo=
nth after starting. As a general rule, it's not uncommon for us to still h=
ave a handful of hikers coming through in late June (around when you would=
arrive). The last straggler generally passes through in early July. One y=
ear a young Swiss woman, Sarah Marquis, came through here July 14. She not=
only caught the pack but passed some of them -- we're still in awe.
One observation I've made over the years we've been doing this is that each=
year is unique. The weather can be quite variable; one year finds hikers =
sweltering in 105 degrees, and the next year same week they're bundled in p=
olar fleece trying to stay warm. The desert can exhibit some real extremes.
Hope this tidbit of information is encouraging.
