1) Packs
I was just checking out a new line of packs by Granite Gear. The Vapor
Trail weighs 2lbs with cumfy shoulder straps and waist belt (much better
than Golite) It has a 3600 cu in capacity, 2 side pockets, and convinient
ceter straps for ice axe, poles, gear drying, etc.
2) Stove
If you don't want to make your own stove the Trangia burner is a nice
option. REI only carries the full, everything but the kitchen sink, boy
scout edition for $60 or something but at the Piragis Northwoods Company you
can get just the burner for around $11 plus s&h. Check the out on the web @
Piragis.com or 800-223-6565. It only weighs a couple of ounces and has a
screw on lid w/ o ring so you can leave in excess fuel. Good info on wind
screen/pot holder construction @

Hope this helps. See ya out there.
Jason
