[pct-l] Fan Letter (was safewater filters)

Dear MountainDave Fan Club,

Please send one (1) autographed photo of your magnificent spleen.  Also,
please enroll me in the MountainDave & MonteDodge Immune System Boot Camp.
We'll drink pond water & enjoy explosive diarrhea until we are immune.
Sounds lie a hoot!  I'll even bring my own 10' chain, with neck collar, to
tether myself to your toilet.

But until I graduate.....I guess I'm stuck with my horrible filter.  How I
long to be free from the back-breaking burden of the extra 12 ounces, and
the unspeakable drudgery that wastes 5 to 10 minutes of my backpacking day!!

Although I am trying out the new SafeWater G2 filter bottle, which only
breaks my back to the tune of 6 ounces.  So far I'm impressed with the flow,
and that I can squeeze out water for Gatorade or other uses just as fast as
my pump filter.

Of course I have no idea how it would perform with daily use.  I'll be
looking forward to Phoenix's reports from the PCT this year, to see how it
works for him.
