[pct-l] getting to trailhead?



here's a link to the only 395 bus service in operation; the CREST -

you can take the PRIDE bus service (see link on page) from Reno to Carson
City.....
the only bummer is it would take two days to get from Carson City to Lone
Pine -
no same day transfer.

You can get to horseshoe meadow by going into the fishing shop on the East
side
of the street accross from whitney portal rd. in Bishop, and ask the shop
owner if he knows anybody to drag you
up to there - I paid 20 bucks to get to Whitney Portal....

Kennedy Meadows is about 25 miles away from highway 395, and a more remote
hitch.
