ORGANIZATION

Meeting 1 to 3 PM
Noon to 1 PM - Socializing and Gear Swap
3 to 4 PM - Socializing and Gear Swap

Plans for a two weeks Project in August, 2003, to reconstruct the PCT at
Timberline Lodge will be unveiled  by Dick Lukins and Mary Ellen Fitzgerald=
,
Wilderness Trails Supervisor of the Zigzag Ranger District, Mount Hood
National Forest. The project is made possible by a generous grant from the
Henry Weinhard Company.

Kim and Pam Owen will share lightweight backpacking techniques they used to
hike the Pacific Crest Trail in 2002.

The meeting will provide information about volunteer opportunities availabl=
e
in the 150 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail that we maintain from Panther
Creek in Washington to the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness in Oregon.

The gear swap will give you a chance to clean out your closet,  get some
cash for that pack you don't use any more, or trade it for someone else's
stove. Please bring your gear by 11:30 AM
