[pct-l] Alcohol Stove for two

 I made a very nice large version alcohol stove ( Of a Roy Robinson Trail Dad
design) out of a large cat food can and a large chicken can. Stove is just a
large version knock-off of one of Roys with a large cat food can used in the
inside istead of a small cat food can, then large chicken can ( which is 1/2
inch larger diameter and slightly taller)  for the outside with lower
canopener holes. The main advantage in it's larger fuel capacity ( about 3
film canisters worth ) and it seems to boil a liter about as fast as a white
gas stove or as fast as most alcohol stoves boil 2 cups. ( About 5 minutes
and 30 secs. for a liter of cold tap water) Down side is it uses 6
tablespoons of fuel in 14 min. and 30 secs!!! This is the stove I am taking
on my 2003 Summer Yukon Kayak trip.  I also made a small Trail Dad knock -off
using a cut down V-8  5.5 oz. Alum can as inner can and a small cat can as
the outter can .  ( Just a small version of one of Roy's fine stoves.)
     The new Pika stove built by Dean in Happy Camp is another nicely built
stove that combines much of the soda can stoves tech. with Roy's Cat stove
innovations. ( It is a open topped stove like Roy's as Well) Good Luck
