[pct-l] Thanks for a successful PCT hike

Congratulations on completing the trip of a lifetime.

I'm amazed about the weather you had. (More accurately, I'm amazed about the
weather you didn't have.) In preparation for our upcoming 25th reunion of
1977 PCT hikers, I've been reviewing my journals. We had snow on about half
the days in May. (That was in the Sierra; in those days, "day zero" was
around April 1.) And we had rain almost every day for the last two weeks of
August and first week of September (in Washington). Sounds like this was
definitely the year to go!!

Cheers,
Carl
