Headline. Fires still burn in the West -- as if fires in the west were
unusual. All forests burn eventually. And it goes to show how futile it is to
place fire restrictions on campers when it has now been shown that the fire
fighters themselves are to blame for the biggest fires in Colorado and
Arizona's history. Kinda scary having those who make "big bucks" guarding our
forests when no fires = no overtime. Mother Nature WANTS those areas to burn
Otherwise, she wouldn't send mister thunderstorm into bone dry areas to
ignite them. Fires are a property problem caused by man's continuing
ignorance and/or rejection of fitting into nature's scheme. Instead we place
ourselves above it all, as lords of nature, with the need to interfere and
control, as if it all hinged on our wisdom and compassion. What arrogance!
