May 30 - A helicopter attempting to rescue injured mountain climbers on
Oregon's Mount Hood crashed into the steep glacier just below the summit on
Thursday. The crash occurred as the helicopter was attempting to rescue
survivors of a mountaineering accident that left three dead and three
critically injured.
