Well summing it all up, I think that Flyin Brian sums it up best. Enter on
June 1 and face miles of post holing and serious stream crossings but it CAN
BE DONE [by you Greg, not me]. Wait till June 15 and you'll walk across the
same areas without difficulty [ice axe still required] but the probability
of a bear and ranger encounter will be higher. Major mosquitoes either way.
Mosquitoes breed on the edge of the snow melt so forget about escaping them
till August.
