[pct-l] To be early or not at Kennedy Meadows?

My conclusion: if you try to hike the trail in one year, no matter when
you start, you will spend a lot of time not hiking the trail, but
kick-stepping, postholing, and sliding somewhere above the trail,
mudding the trail, swimming the trail, running the trail from the mosquitos
or flying the trail when the mosquitos pick you up and carry you away.
This seems to be true whether you join the northbound pack or try it
southbound alone, just different times and places for your non-hiking
activities.

So, do it in TWO years: join the pack at ADZ from Campo to Kennedy Meadows
south, then go back to work until August 1, then hike until late
September and all your resupplies would be shut down for the season;
next year, resume August 1 where you left off and finish in comfort.

Time will tell whether I'll ever act on my own conclusions.
