I went backpacking in Olympic National Park this last weekend.  I made
camp at 1500 feet of elevation on bare ground, and woke up to 3 inches
of new snow.  That was a bit of a surprise!  Of course, it's not going
to stick around long at that elevation, but I guess it goes to show that
the weather does what it wants without regard for the calendar.  You
just have to work around it.
