We supplied at Onyx in 2000 for the same reason: lighten the load. We didn't
have a long wait, but traffic was light. If there are campers at the camp
site, you might be able to pay someone to take you down. We stayed overnight
(no water at the camp site - seems like locals drained the tank). No problem
getting back up - lots of traffic at the gas station/store. Store has fine
supplies. Slept across from the store - pretty bad site. Post office is
behind the store - opened late in the morning, but postmaster came early and
let us get our package. Others had the store owner get their box. Definitely
not an exciting place to be.
