[pct-l] a bunch of questions

Hello, I have never had any contact with the PCT-L until today. I have a
few questions that people may have already answered in the last few
months, but from what I can tell there's no way for me to get archives of
the list from more recently than January. So I apologize if I am reopening
old cans of worms.
First, I live in Boston, MA and I thought it would be fun to carpool with
someone to the Kickoff. I know it's a longshot. I could probably arrange
this with anyone in the Northeast. I have a car to drive in, but I have no
way to get it home, as I plan to leave Campo on foot. So we would have to
figure something out. By the way, I tried posting on the Kickoff ride
board, but it appears to be broken. (Maybe it's a Netscape-IE thing.)
Second, and I'm sure this is constantly discussed, can anyone tell me what
the conditions on the PCT are expected to be like this year? I read that
most of California had a very dry winter, but I don't know how that
affects the mountains or the water supply in the desert.
The third thing... hm, I just can't remember what it was. If I do remember
I'll send another letter.
Lastly, I'd like to request that you cc all responses to my e-mail address
(nstrauss@bigfoot.com). I am so swamped trying to wrap things up at work
that I don't have time to sift through hundreds of e-mails, so I am not
subscribing. If that's a PCT-L faux pas, please let me know, and I
apologize in advance.
Cheers,
Nate "Fleischman" Strauss
