Accu(NOT)Weather forecast said cool and mostly sunny for Saturday at Mt.
Baldy. We never saw Mt. Baldy even though we were only a few miles away.
The clouds looked a little ominous as we started up the Heaton Flat trail
to Iron Mtn. At the 4582' saddle (5 miles), one hiker decided to go to
Allison Mine instead of doing the final 2 1/2 mile, 3500' climb. At the
6100' saddle another hiker decided to turn back. The final 2 continued on
up until it started snowing, probably just above 6500', and then turned
around. Of course that turned to rain back at the lower saddle. At least
we didn't get the strong wind gusts that were forecast!
 
A beautiful spring day in the mountains! The clouds were beautiful
rolling up the side of the mountain.
