[pct-l] Sun Protection

For the sunny south before Kennedy Meadows, I suggest light weight cotton
rather than polyester. Sun goes through the polyester and will burn - and
feels hot. It is fine as you get up higher and further north. Linen also
works. Umbrellas are fine, but watch the wind. A hat with a big visor also
helps. Don't forget the sun glasses (especially on snow). Because of the
heat, you may also start early, hide in mid-day, and then hike later into
the night.

As one of those living in the Northwest, I have forgotten that their is a
sun.
