Hi Sara,
I have had pretty good success with washing my clothes and body with Dr.
Brunner's eucalyptus soap.  Then just before I leave I spray my clothes with
horse fly spray( as well as the horses).  I prefer tritec 14 of supersect 7
for the fly spray.  Actually this week the mosquitoes were on the horses and
not me, so the Dr Brunner's is probably the best.  Also it worked really
well to keep the ticks off in So CA.  Only had 1 tick attach and that was
after I washed clothes at a town stop and didn't use the eucalyptus.  It is
available at health food stores and REI.  It's also good for dishes and
teeth brushing according to the wonderful label.  I use it for the dishes,
but not for teeth.  A little goes a LONG ways.  A drop does the dishes and a
short squirt does the body and hair in about 1 gal of water.
