This is the backpackinglight group at yahoogroups.com. There's a database (not
a file) that has bear canister information. Feel free to add or edit
information as you find it.
As far as I know, no properly-used solid canister has failed with non-Grizzly
bears. Soft Usacks have failed. I think a search of the archive of this list
(http://mailman.backcountry.net/pipermail/pct-l/) will reveal how bad the
failures were.
