[pct-l] Weekend trip

I'm looking for a good weekend trip this upcoming weekend for me and my
wife's two 15 yr old cousins.  I'm a month old in the San Diego county
area and am racking my brains to find a place to do some backpacking
that is challenging, scenic, peaceful, yet reasonably short all wrapped
up into one.

I've been looking at some sections of the PCT, and since I'm a AT
native, I'm new at picking solid sections of the PCT to do hiking on.  I
found a nice nearby section from Rt 78 to Rt 79 in the San Felipe
Valley?  Topo USA shows it as about 18 miles, so I'd guess closer to
20-22.  This is a nice distance but I'm still kinda concerned about
water.  Coming from a part of the country where water isnt in such short
supply that is my number 1 concern.

Any thoughts on this section?  Or suggestions would be appreciated.
