[pct-l] thru-hiker sighting

Just got back from an overnighter at Raymond Lake near Ebbetts Pass.
Came across a few hikers. First I met up with a young couple heading
south. I forgot his name but hers was "Pig Pen". Around 11:00 am today
(7/8) I crossed paths with Bob Walker from Calgary who is making good
mileage. Meet "Rusted Root" who was asking about hot tubs and a place to
stay. I think he was referring to Grover Hot Springs but I'm not sure.
Next was "Delbert" from Ohio. Soft spoken and always with a smile. While
talking with him, "Yogi" from Kansas City came by. Passed by another
lady who wasn't very talkative and just gave me a nod and kept going.
Ran into "Nona" who was bundle of interesting talk but she frightened
the other folks I was with. I was out with a group taking some never
been before backpackers out for a one nighter. These people could not
understand the thought of hiking such distances and even less the
thought of not showering for weeks at a time. So you can understand how
these non-backing folk felt when "Nona" wanted hugs from them after
talking and departing. It was great to see the faces on my friends when
they got a nice whiff. Ahhh, Eau de Thru-hiker!
