Charlie,

    Hate to disappoint you but there are thieves, etc. in every nationality,
ethnic group, etc. I think one must exercise prudence when leaving one's pack no
matter how close to the Mexican border or PCT one is.

    The same mobility that enables us to get to our trails enables thieves to come
and steal from us.
