[pct-l] best time for California portion of PCT?

Attend the ADZPCTKOP with the entire trail thruhikers in late April.  The
guys who have scheduled that event have done so based on weather over the
years.  It's late enough to avoid snow in the San Jacinto, and early enough
to avoid the really hellish desert heat.  After that you have the luxury of
hiking your own hike without regard for fall in the Cascades.
