The good news:
".... the park's south shore will remain open. It has recreational-vehicle
hookups, a boat launch, restrooms, youth-group cabins and a ranger station."
The Bad News:
"LAKE MORENA VILLAGE -- For the first time in more than a decade, the
county Parks Department has shut down a major portion of Lake Morena's
campground. The lake's level has dropped too low, exposing mud flats and
an unstable shoreline.
The north shore of the East County lake, which offers isolated camping
spots and fishing holes, will be closed indefinitely, said Randy Ford,
district park manager for the county."
