[pct-l] 2000 PCT hiker

Bob, my name is Tom Conover "Silver" AT99 PCT 00. You hosted me and 4 =
others including Ron Moak, Ray Riches, Vive and prehistoric Tony I =
believe when we arrived in San Diego April 27 or thereabouts. I remember =
the predawn ride to Campo and all excitement of what lay ahead. I tried =
many times to email you from the trail and never managed to hear =
anything back so expected I did not reach you. Just wanted to thank you =
for all you help and encouragement at the start. I finished Aug.16- 5 =
weeks ahead of my itinerary and three hours behind Doug Lockhart. Anyway =
it was truly a great hike with only 1 hour of rain on me the whole =
journey comming off Mt Shasta. Take care and have a great time at the =
kickoff. I plan to thru hike the CDT in 2003 as I have moved to Ohio to =
work for my former employer for 1 1/2 yrs to enable me to take early =
retirement. Then its all the hiking etc I want. Hope to get out your way =
sometime and revisit all my acquaintances I made on that northbound =
