[pct-l] Flat California - ha ha ha

I didn't think California was flat, but I had the misconception that the PCT 
would rise slowly to 7000 to 10,000 feet and STAY there. After going through 
the Lagunas, San Jacintos, San Bernardinos, and San Gabriels it slowly dawned 
on me that the PCT was going to yo - yo up and down for most of the way. Good 
thing, too, because then I hit the biggest yo yo of all - the Sierras. Now 
Oregon - thats "flat"
