 A pre-80's Kelty is indeed becoming rare. I would hang on to that pack 
Jerry!! They are a piece of backpacking history as old as the PCT in some 
cases. No made in Korea, but asembled in Pakistan labels on those old packs. 
Go to a motorcycle shop and ask for a good aluminuim cleaner polish to take 
care of oxidation. Dick Kelty is a legend as so are his old packs. (  old US 
made ones of course!) Craftmenship is fast becoming  an obsolete word as is " 
Made in USA "
