[pct-l] MiniDisc players on the trail

Oh, sure. I think about it often. Unfortunately a 20 pound satchel charge in
Viet Nam pretty much precluded hearing the sounds of nature...or much of
anything else, for that matter. But I can still hear music through a head
set. The amplifier helps a lot and I am very careful of my hearing aids when
I backpack. I keep them in a ziploc. They're pretty easy to lose and a bitch
to replace in the field. But I can't ever remember insisting that my fellow
hikers put them on periodically and listen to my music. I'm reasonably sure
they can't hear my music and my headset isn't as visually obnoxious as some
of their clothes. I'm very much in favor of people being considerate of
other peoples feelings... ;o)
