[pct-l] MiniDisc players on the trail



Ouch! From the photos I've seen and journals I've read quite a few thru-hikers
carry a portable radio. And yes, I would be using headphones.

This reply is a little disturbing. I am indeed going on this hiker to enjoy 
nature
but music (especially classical), IMHO, accompanies and enhances my experience,
especially on those boring stretches that you hear about along the PCT.
