 From what I've read they DO NOT shop for you. You are responsible for sending
them everything. From what I have read, they pack the stuff and arrange an
itinerary. That's all.

If they DID at least include food (after all, how much do we eat? :-), then 
I'd think
$5K is approaching reasonable.
