[pct-l] Painting Garcia Bear Cannister

Has anyone had any success in painting a Garcia (plastic) bear can?

It seemed to me that a couple of bright yellow stripes would make it a
lot easier to find the cannister after Mr. Bear had drop-kicked it
around the campsite.  The Krylon spray-paint that I applied just
rubbed right off, however.

Anyone have any success at this?
