Ted, there is a CDT forum on www.GORP.com.  From the home page, go to 
"hiking," then go to "discussion boards" and you'll see a link to the CDT 
discussions. If you click on "thru-hiking" (again, from the hiking page), 
you'll also be able to read the accounts of four people who thru-hiked the 
CDT this year. (Well, most of it -- there were those pesky fires.) 

My book, Where the Waters Divide, also tells, in more detail, about our 
thru-hike on the CDT. You can e-mail me privately for more info, if you like.
