Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm interested in the number of PCT Hikers who are in or have had the same
situation as me. That is I hiked the AT last year thought it was wonderful
and now find myself saying "Thank you sir, may I have another?"
From what I can tell everything about the PCT is like the AT only more so.
Hotter, Colder, Snowier, Longer, Higher, More remote, etc. That's where most
of the appeal lies for me over the AT.
My PCT experience is probably somewhat unique. I found myself in California
in February so I hiked to the border from Campo. Then I drove north crossing
it frequently eventually ending up at Manning Park. One surefire sign it's
much different than the AT as I found myself in Oregon saying "Hmmm, it
doesn't appear to cross any passable roads in this state".
