[pct-l] Rain Hiking

Welcome to the List, Carl! Ah! Another '77 thruhiker raises his ugly head to
spout the ancient heavy weight blasphemy and joins the worthy fight against
the hideous spread of the dreaded Jardinites!

Carl Siechert writes:

<< You mean you kept hiking through that miserable time??! We did for only the
first three days--and then stayed in our tent for the next excruciatingly
boring six days. But we were tired of hiking in miserable conditions in
which we couldn't even enjoy the scenery. >>

Yes, Paul and I, in a close-to-insanity state of mind, averaged about 25 mile
days through it cause "there isn't anything else to do except sit in your wet
tent and mope". We sat out one day in the tool shed (the only dry shelter
available) at Kennedy Hot Springs.
