[pct-l] boots

I have try everything from mega-heavy Vasque Hiker II from the late seventies
to Vasque Sundowners from the late eighties (which I still use some) to trail
running shoes ( I need high tops) and have settled on LL Bean leather and
some sort of manmade fabric hiking boots. They are about as minimal of a
high top as I can find. After about 500 miles you throw them out.
Thru-hikers could buy several and mail them as they need them. LLB will mail
them to General Delivery. You may need a bigger size as your foot swells.
Do what works for you.
Hiking on,
