Since people can't comprehend hiking all those miles, I can impress them
with how much I ate.  My personal best was having a 2 liter of coke and
1/2 gallon of chocolate ice cream finished in 30 minutes.  This was during
a quick sidetrip to soda springs south of I-80.

Reading the journal posts really makes me miss the trail.  Here I am now 4
years later,  20 pounds heavier, and surrounded by 3 computers in my
basement hacking code.  My my how things have changed.  

I still feel like there is something to be learned (again) back out on the
trail, or a different trail.  Time will tell.
