Actually, Mather Pass is MUCH more difficult than Forester Pass If the
Chute is a problem on Forester, you can scramble up to the left. The
cornice on Mather provides a much more difficult barrier.
If one cannot deal with the snow, then don't bother to thru-hike the PCT...
