Not that it matters much to me, since I'm not on the trail, but I've always 
heard that it takes 10 inches of snow to make one inch of liquid moisture. 
Tha would mean 180 inches of snow at Forrester pass. That sounds excessive, 
so lets say it takes 5 inches of consolidated snow to make one inch of liquid 
moisture. That still makes 90 inches of snow at Forrester pass. If I were a 
betting man, I would guess at 6 feet of snow currently at Forrester. Sounds 
like the traditional time of June 10 to leave Kennedy Meadows is right on
