Steve- There is a bus that leaves Yosemite Valley every day at around
2pm that goes to Merced. You could take a Grey Hound back to Tahoe from
there. You could probably take an Amtrak train from Merced to Truckee
also and catch a bus or hitch hike to Tahoe from Truckee.
