Tony- If you are leaving from Yosemite Valley, they reserve 15 spots in
advance and allow 15 walk ups to get trail permits. You can reserve 24
weeks prior to leaving. I called the first day I could last year, 24
weeks in advance and several spots were already taken. If you call the
Wildnerness Center in YV they can tell you more.
