[pct-l] Kern River Drainage Snowmelt

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/snow/current/snow/pillowplots/Kern.html

Shows the realtime snow depth for the Kern river basin, the first place you are likely to hit snow on a Northbound Hike. The Upper Tyndall Creek Pillow is just off the trail, a little South of Forrester Pass. And the Crabtreee Meadows Pillow is on the trail just east of Whitney.

Looks like a steep melt started on the 2nd of April, with about a 10% melt in the last 9 days.

Looks pretty good for a mostly snow free northbound trip.
