As Marge noted, the comment deadline for the GWT proposal is April 14.  For those who aren't familiar with the public comments process in agency rulemaking, NFS is forced to read all the comments and thoroughly address them in the final rule.  This is
how folks substantially improved the now-enacted USDA organic standards rule a couple years back.  Because of the method of comment analysis, individualized letters are a lot more valuable than form letters (which are essentially tallied and counted,
substantively, as raising merely a single issue).  So, if you find that you want to comment more thoroughly than the web site allows you, try writing:

Attn: Roshanna Stone

I would think that the experience with illegal OHV use on the southern sections of the PCT and the extensive litter noted on the CDT where access to OHVs is not restricted would move some of you to try and stop NFS from creating this new alleged
"trail."  -Brian
