Lets try it again
One thing that has not been brought up during the discussion of down vs
synthetic bags is storage. Both type of bags should be stored
un-stuffed. Some North Face bags come with a bag the size of a 55 gal
trash bag for storage. I keep my bags unrolled/stuffed under my bed.
Keeping a bag stuffed during storage is the quickest way to reduce the
loft of a synthetic bag. The down seams to hold up better then
synthetics and I base this comment on my treatment of my army down bag
through the 60s and 70s when I did not know any better.
