Brian, 

You bring up an interesting idea.  Are Federal Land access fees tax 
deductible?  After all, aren't other things that I pay to the Feds considered 
and offset on my taxes, like social security, etc.  Any CPAs out there?

On second thought, does the amount paid by an individual likely to accumulate 
over a typical year to a significant sum?  Not.

Monte, how much do you think you might pay in fees in a typical year in your 
fee-intensive area?
