Not a bad idea! Olancha Pass is not too hard. If you got a predawn start
to beat the heat, you'd be up at the pass and have water available at
Summit Meadow just a bit past the pass in no time.

gain. Summit Meadow is a very reliable source of water year round and
good camping.
