then stop saying "stoves are banned on the trail" because they are not.

There is an 80 mile section and a 50 mile section. for a typical
thru-hiker hiking 25 miles per day this will be 3 or 4 nights, not "a
bunch of nights."

This really isn't a big deal for a thru hiker. Stop making it one.
