Don't the owner's manuals for the JetBoil products state the are for
boiling water only? If so, then why do folks try to simmer in them?

I'll carry a couple more ounces in order to not need to buy as much fuel,
which is probably either a wash, or might come out just slightly ahead in
the long run, depending on exactly what you are trying to save. I'd rather
walk a little more slowly and enjoy what I see and hear, but boil water in
near record time.

Not a gram counter, but not in a big hurry except to eat,
