Just returned from ALDHAwest Gathering. Once again,amazing presentations.  From an account of a then 10 year old who Thru horse packed the trail with her family in '69 (Bernadette Murray)to the first woman to thruhike the CDT (Jean Ella)in the '70's to Trauma and Pepper's winter thruhike of the PCT. And so much more!!! It was the 20th anniversary of the forming of ALDHAwest. So many former officers,members and board members showed up to reconnect. 
The Triple Crown presentations were emotional and each one of those hikers had a beautiful story to tell. 
I got excited about doing the PNT, adding to a now endless list of hikes that I plan to walk. Thank you Siddhartha. 
We saw a new movie on the AT.  Flip,Flop,Flipped--I'm always more interested in a hiker made movie than a Hollywood movie. Thank you Squatch. 
Next year the Gathering is in Calif. See you all there
