I also believe in free enterprise and there are many who become successful from scalping the public, but just an FYI:  I purchased a roll of Tyvek at Lowes Home Center not too long ago.  It's about 36 inches wide and a million feet long, well maybe not, but after cutting off a few chunks for me and friends it still looks new.  My point is that I paid $12.99 plus tax.  Hummmmm....  I bet Home Depot and other building supply stores have it.  Be brave and look near the 2X4's and other dimension lumber or even ask where it is.  Then you can be the hero in your hiking community by giving away pieces, bartering for something, or selling it for maybe $2 for a six or seven foot ground protection for your sleeping bag.  By selling it locally, you would still make a little cash or at least cover your purchase cost and no shipping costs.   : -D

I have been fooling around with a one hundred foot roll of Tyvek on a few
little things that I was curious about. I still have most of it left.

The material is thirty six inches wide, and is in brand new condition. I
would be happy to sell any length you desire. How does $1/foot of length
sound? I will send it any way you desire as long as you pay shipping. Final
price will be agreed upon before I cut and mail the material.
FAQ:

Is this real Tyvek? Yes. DuPont has a way with marking this stuff very
heavily, and this is real, gen-you-wine Tyvek.

What should I use if I want to tape it together to make a wider piece?
Tape. Pick one. I have no idea what will work for your application. I've
been using duct tape.

Is this stuff waterproof? Probably. I make no guarantees about any
usefulness of this stuff for anything.

What can this stuff be used for? Tents, tarps, bivy sacks, ground cloths,
clothing, equipment repair, all kinds of things. Some folks make wallets
out of them, there are patterns and instructions on the internet.
