[pct-l] Question regarding Section A Required Permits

Not sure why you have this opinion but anytime you are on more than a day hike in the backcountry of a NP, forest or BLM managed land you are required to aquire a permit. In the case of sections A and B the various ranger stations cooperate with one another. The local station in Alpine can be reached at 619.445.6235 and you should be able to arrange a single permit along the PCT between Campo and I-10.

No, the first place you would need a permit is further north in Section B.

Besides the California Fire Permit, are there any other required permits to
hike Section A of the PCT plus part of Section B to the Paradise Valley
Cafe?
